Cape Verde: Re-experiencing and falling in love with Sao Vicente Island

Cape Verde: Re-experiencing and falling in love with Sao Vicente Island

Mindelo, the largest town on Sao Vicente Island has the annual Carnival festival, among other fun festivals.

We however, have lovely friends who live on the island and they showed us a more intimate enjoyment which locals do. Away from the busy scene in Mindelo during the festival.
We went to a dinner cooked by a famous restauranteur who is over 80 years old. She has restaurants in Cape Verde and Senegal.
We had a fabulous time at her restaurant experience.

there was even a side show with a local dance

On our stroll, we magically came to some water tidal pools. A natural swimming pool with ocean fed water which makes it a natural swimming pool.

Our friends invited us to a private party which was happening. There was food, wine and later in the evening, songs being sung as mostof these are influential people in the country. I felt we snuck into a scene of the rich and famous!

We also enjoyed a lovely evening as our hosts cooked a homemade dinner and made a dinner party with wine and conversation.

We adore the more unspoilt and off the beaten path places to experience in the world! My intention is put out to the Universe that we may continue to share our love and vibes around the world in the more off the beaten locations!

Cape Verde: Re-experiencing Santiago Island and falling in love with it again

Cape Verde: Re-experiencing Santiago Island and falling in love with it Again.

Santiago island is the more populated island of  Cape Verde as it has the capital city, Praia.

During this visit, we felt like we had a more intimate feeling, and going through the orientation process as in our privious visit.
We had friends to meet, a flat of our own which we cooked and felt more freedom than in a room at a hotel.
